    The city falls right on the shores of Lake Erie, which allows for very easy access to plenty of water sports, fresh-water beaches, and of course boating. The Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve and Marina has hundreds of acres of beautiful land, a 35-ton lift service for boats, and quick access to the open water to catch fish or to just cruise. Headlands Beach State Park is also a great place for fun in the sun and a dip in the lake.

    Over 500 acres of Nature Parks and Recreational Parks

    Mentor has an abundance of nature parks with miles and miles of hiking trails, gorgeous scenery, and lots of wildlife. The recreational parks contain equipment such as playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, baseball fields, and swimming pools.

    Plenty of shopping and retail services

    Don’t worry about having to take long drives to get items you need. Mentor has all the largest retail stores (Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, etc.), a number of different grocery stores, and is home of the Great Lakes Mall. On top of all this, there is a wide variety of restaurants, from fast food to fancy sit-down places.

    Other fun activities to enjoy

    Mentor is a great place to bike or jog, with many paths and journeys to take. There is an ice skating rink at Mentor Civic Center which is great for skating or hockey and numerous golf courses throughout Northeast Ohio.
